Thank you for your interest in the SOUTH COUNTY BALLOON FESTIVAL AND CRAFT FAIR. A family event, it is one of the oldest festivals in the state attracting thousands of locals and tourists annually. It begins on Friday night, July 17 at 4 PM and features live music at 7 pm and a "Balloon Glow" after dark and runs until dusk on Sunday. Parking for CRAFTERS is in a reserved area [pass provided] and overnight booth security by URI Police is provided on Friday and Saturday night.

Funds raised by Rotary are used for local charities. Please submit the enclosed application along with a photo of your craft items. We DO NOT accept slogan T-shirts, "close out" jewelry or "Flea Market" type merchandise.

We do have a section for commercially made products or goods, but at a different fee from handcraft. Once accepted, only those products submitted on your application may be shown.

Space size for each booth is 15 x 15 feet. Spaces are first assigned to last year’s participants, then on a first come basis. Attractiveness of your booth/display is a concern. We discourage plain table displays. The URI athletic fields offer no shade and it is sometimes quite windy so plan your booth accordingly.

New this year, electricity will be provided to all booths at no additional charge. Generators will not be permitted.

The University only permits vehicles to be on the field for set up and tear down time. Your cooperation is expected. Thank you.
